What curated actually means

What we are

Vivaaha Moments is a curated marketplace connecting couples marrying in Bangalore and across Karnataka with wedding vendors we have personally reviewed. We currently list 74 vendors across 7 service categories — venues, photographers, décor and floral teams, makeup artists, caterers, sound and AV crews and planners.

We are a small team based in Bengaluru. We are not a listing directory that accepts anyone who pays, and we are not a booking platform that takes a cut of your wedding budget.

How a vendor gets listed

Before a business appears on the site we check four things:

• The work is real and consistent. We review full portfolios, not a curated highlights reel — including how a vendor performs in difficult conditions like a dim mandap or a harsh midday reception.
• The business is actively taking wedding bookings. Dormant listings are the main reason directories waste couples' time.
• The contact details work. We verify the phone number and email before publishing, and we re-check when enquiries bounce.
• They handle Indian weddings. Knowing when the thaali is tied or when the muhurtham falls is not optional for a vendor working here.

We turn down businesses that do not clear this bar. That is the entire point — a shortlist you can trust is more useful than an exhaustive list you cannot.

Where our pricing figures come from

The starting rates shown throughout this site and in our planning guides are the vendors' own published starting figures, taken directly from their listings and recalculated as those listings change. They are starting rates for a single function, not average total spend — we label them that way everywhere because presenting them as final costs would mislead you. Where we do not have enough vendors in a category to give a meaningful range, we show no range at all rather than a made-up one.

How we make money

Vendors pay to be listed once they pass review. Couples pay us nothing, and we do not take a commission on your bookings — when you enquire, you deal with the vendor directly. We mention this plainly because you should know what incentive sits behind any recommendation you read online, including ours.

What we do not do

We do not plan your wedding, we do not hold your deposits, and we do not guarantee a vendor's performance. Contracts are between you and the vendor. What we do is narrow a chaotic market down to businesses we would be willing to recommend to a friend, and then get out of the way.
